Netmarble’s subsidiary and CUBE’s parent company, Netmarble F&C, has signed a strategic partnership with the content company, Kidari Studio, for the development of game content and blockchain platform business.

Through this MOU, Netmarble F&C will utilize the various IPs (Intellectual Properties) of Kidari Studio to develop games and metaverse content. Moreover, the IPs of Kidari Studio will also be used to jointly develop the IP NFT business with Netmarble F&C.

Kidari Studio is a content powerhouse, developing diverse media content worldwide. Its array of content ranges from movies to webtoons to web novels, and more. Established in 1987, Kidari Studio entered the field of e-books and electronic teaching materials in 2016 when they acquired Barobook. Following this, they’ve expanded further by acquiring Bom Comics, a webcomic platform, in 2017, and DELITOON, an online comic platform from France, two years after.

In 2021, Kidari Studio acquired Lezhin Entertainment, the third biggest webtoon platform in South Korea with a revenue of USD 150 million. Moreover, they are known to be currently producing dramas utilizing their IPs. To say that Kidari Studio is a force in the entertainment industry would be an understatement.

What’s even more exciting is that these incredible contents will be realized on the new Metaverse World platform currently being developed by Netmarble F&C, known as CUBE. This Metaverse World and CUBE platform encompasses games, digital humans, entertainment, contents (webtoons, web novels), and commerce based on blockchain technology.

With this agreement, Kidari Studio will join Netmarble F&C’s blockchain platform and expand its global webtoon and web novel platform (Lezhin Comics, Bomtoon, DELITOON) businesses, and the cooperation will promote the realization of the Metaverse World.
